Dear Wine Lover,

We have received our precious allotment of Michael Bonaccorsi wines. We can offer you limited quantities of the following…

2003 Bonaccorsi Larner Vineyard Santa Ynez Syrah $49.89

Wine Spectator 93 Points!!!

Cropped at two tons to the acre, a blend of the best clones the Larner’s have to offer, 383 and Estrella. Fermented on native yeast with 5% Viognier, aged 15 months in 65% new French oak. This is the more delicate of the two syrahs. 250 cases were produced.

A rich, syrupy style, with loads of blackberry and boysenberry jam flavors that are intense and concentrated. Remarkably deep and penetrating, the flavors finish with a strong burst of richness and complexity. The tannins are ripe and plush. Drink now through 2010. -WS

2003 Bonaccorsi Bien Nacido Santa Rita Hills Syrah $54.89

This is what a syrah should be, big and powerful. Fermented on native yeast, aged 18 months in 90% new French oak. 220 cases were produced.

The blockbuster of the group, impenetrable, opaque black-red to the rim. Intense mineral nose of iron ore, blueberry jam, graphite, plus complex accents of blood, beast of burden(oh peter) and laurel. Fruitier in the mouth, with more confiture of black raspberry and blueberry, marjoram, roasted herbs de Provence. Muscular, dry and full-bodied, well balanced, surprisingly supple tannins on a smooth finish.  -Peter Palmer, Wine Director of Farallon Restaurant, San Francisco

2003 Bonaccorsi Fiddlestix Vineyard Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir $49.89

This wine reflects the beauty of the Santa Rita hills appellation. Fermented on native yeast, aged entirely in new French oak. 499 cases were produced.

Rich, ruby red with garnet highlights. Initial nose of ripe cherry, cured meat and damp forest floor. As the wine opens, subtle vanilla, toast and dried autumn leaves add to the complexity. On the palate, medium bodied, with boysenberry, shades of black peppercorn with an alluring savory quality. Usually the most structured of the pinots, the tannins on the finish are firm but well integrated. The acidity is bright and natural. -Peter Palmer, Wine Director of Farallon Restaurant, San Francisco
