Dear Wine Lover,

Ventana Vineyards is the “Most Award Winning Single Vineyard in America”. For over thirty years, Ventana has essentially been a research vineyard – the result of Owner Doug Meador’s single-minded dedication to earn Monterey County a respected place on the California wine map.

*Winemaker's Tasting Notes*
2003 Ventana EstatArroyo Seco Monterey Cabernet Sauvignon Was $18.00 Sale $15.99
The Ventana Cabernet Sauvignon presents with a deep rich ruby purple color. The nose has a good bit of spicy pepper, cedar and dark luscious fruit. The palate shows strong structure, loganberry, blackberry and briar flavors. This Cabernet has a good bit of spicy oakiness, but not too much, our house style is to use oak as an accompaniment to the fruit’s natural attributes. The wine has medium body tannins for ageability and a long full finish.
2003 Ventana Estate Arroyo Seco Monterey Syrah Was 18.00 Sale $15.99
The Ventana Syrah shows a bright ruby-purple color. The bouquet is lively with fresh cracked black pepper and black cherry. On the palate, the wine is lush and full with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and spice. The wine is well balanced having vanilla and cedar tones from American Oak barrel aging as an accompaniment to the fruit components.
2003 Ventana Estate Due Amici Arroyo Seco Monterey Cabernet Sauvignon & Sangiovese Was $28.00 Sale $23.99
Due Amici showcases a bright ruby color with red fruit flavors of cherry, blackberry and black raspberry alongside vanilla and light smoky tones of oak. The wine is medium bodied with light tannins. It is one of our most popular wines and one that sells out quickly each vintage. Perhaps it is the wine’s great ability to pair with many styles of food or stand out on its own.

2002 Ventana Estate Beaugravier Arroyo Seco Monterey Grenache Noir & Syrah Was $28.00 Sale $23.99
At Ventana we control the vigor of the vines used to make Beaugravier. Controlling the vigor controls the size of each berry which then has a better skin to juice ratio resulting in richer color (deep ruby red) and more intense flavors of black cherry, black currant and candy apple. It is full bodied with lush mouth-feel and a lingering finish.
2003 Ventana Estate The Lady Arroyo Seco Monterey Grenache Noir Was $28.00 Sale $23.99
Grenache Noir is a grape varietal not yet readily known in the US, but well known in France where it has been used for many centuries to create the great wines of the Rhone region. This Grenache Noir displays opulent purple color and a vivacious bouquet of lilacs. “The Lady” flaunts flavors of blueberry and candied apple embraced by French oak, pleasing the palate and finishing leisurely. This is an elegant companion to hearty fare such as grilled pork or lamb – or by herself.
2003 Ventana Estate Arroyo Seco Monterey Pinot Noir Was $34.00 Sale $26.99
Our Pinot Noir was harvested after a long mild growing season just perfect for this varietal. This resulted in a wine that has an explosion of vibrant cherry flavors with a delicious hint of milk chocolate. Lengthy barrel aging in French Oak for over 18 months gives the wine structure and vanilla tones.
2005 Ventana Estate Arroyo Seco Monterey Sauvignon Blanc Was $16.00 Sale $12.99
The cool weather loving vines supply fruit which creates a wine with wonderful floral and citrus tones and a slightly grassy (specifically Timothy Hay) nose. The wine is completely dry with rich rounded texture and a flinty crispness. This is not a Chardonnay "want-to-be"; it is made in the classic French style for the true Sauvignon Blanc enthusiast.

2005 Ventana Estate
Gold Stripe Arroyo Seco Monterey Chardonnay Was $18.00 Sale $15.99
Our “Gold Stripe” Chardonnay has tropical fruit aromas of pineapple and mango. It is full bodied with luscious flavors of tangy apple, pear and lemon. Aged in French oak adds an accent of vanilla and light butterscotch tones. The perfect balance of fruit, oak and acidity makes this an exceptional food friendly wine. Enchanting with Dungeness Crab or a Scallop Risotto, this Chardonnay will also present itself nicely as a wine that can be drank alone.
2005 Ventana Estate Arroyo Seco Monterey Orange Muscat Was $18.00 Sale $15.99
This is a wine with a bouquet to enjoy, full of tropical fruit, vanilla and citrus blossoms. On the palate the fruit flavors are foremost with peach, nectarine and citrus. The wine is medium bodied with just enough residual sugar to enhance the fruit but allowing enough acidity to make it quaffable as an aperitif. Serve well chilled as an aperitif or dessert.
