The Forchini family has been growing premium wine grapes in Sonoma County since 1971. Their historic estate vineyards are located in the Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys of Healdsburg, in Sonoma County, California.

2003 Forchini Papa Nonno Dry Creek Valley Sonoma Tuscan Style Red Wine Was $18.00 Buy Six $11.99
The Papa Nonno is a unique blend of red varietal grapes co-fermented together with a small amount of mixed white wine grapes, making it similar to the Chianti wines of Tuscany. The backbone of this wine is 58% Zinfandel, with 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Carignane, and 4% mixed white varietals making up this balanced wine. The majority of the vines used in this production are 50 to 90 years old head pruned and non-irrigated vines. The Papa Nonno offers bright flavors of mixed berry, plum, and cherry that combines with moderate tannin and acidity for a balanced mouth feel and supple finish. Papa Nonno can be enjoyed now but has the ability to age and improve in the cellar up to 5 years. It pairs well with a wide variety of foods and is especially great with Italian cuisine and BBQ meats. Cases Produced: 325
2001 Forchini Estate Grown Proprietor's Reserve Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Was $28.00 Buy Six $14.99
The 2001 Cabernet is a delicious wine with great depth and structure from the Dry Creek Bench vineyard. The vineyard has well draining gravely clay loam soils and an abundance of sunshine late into the summer evenings. In return allows for maximum ripeness and intense varietal flavor. This wine combines a profile of balanced tannin and deep color with rich flavors of prune, clove, chocolate, licorice, and currant. The blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% co-fermented Carignane for added softness and complexity. This Cabernet is very drinkable now but is capable of aging ten years or more and will continue to improve in the bottle with long term cellaring. The wine pairs well with beef and other hearty entrees.
2002 Forchini Proprietor’s Reserve Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir Was $28.00 Buy Six $14.99
This bright fruit forward California styled Pinot Noir from a 30 year old vineyard in the Russian River Valley appellation. Medium bodied in structure with brilliant ruby red color and fruit flavors of cherry, strawberry, and plum combining with hints of mixed spices. Perfumed aromas, moderate tannin, balanced mouth feel, and a smooth lingering ending finish out the wine. Serve it with lighter foods, fancy cheese courses salmon, shellfish, and lighter meats.

This wine is produced from 90 year old non-irrigated head pruned vines from the elevated eastern Dry Creek Bench Vineyard. This full/medium bodied wine is a classic Dry Creek Zinfandel with bright flavors of briary, raspberry, blackberry & boysenberry combined with a touch of spice. Well balanced soft tannin with acid provides a long lingering finish. 10% Carignane was co-fermented together with Zinfandel to provide a soft suppleness and roundness to the Zinfandel. Enjoy this delicious wine with fancy Italian entrees, BBQ meats, and upper cuisine.
