Since 1997, Tantara has been dedicated to producing world class Pinot Noir and Syrah sourced from top Central Coast Vineyards California's Central Coast, from Santa Barbara to Monterey is blessed with ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir. A long growing season with abundant sunshine for sugar production but enough cool nights and foggy mornings for color extraction and complex flavors, gives us the opportunity to work with some of the best fruit in the world. It is Tantara's goal that this bounty of nature be transformed into great wine.
2006 Tantara Adobe Bien Nacido Vineyards Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir Sale $44.99 Was $48.00
The Adobe Pinot Noir is sourced from a specific 3 acre section of Tantara's Estate Vineyard, four hillside blocks with westerly exposures, 300 - 550 feet in elevation. Bien Nacido Vineyard is located on the northern flank of the Santa Maria Valley at the base of the Sierra Madre Mountains, 20 miles from the coast. Production: 295 cases
2006 Tantara Rio Vista Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir Sale $44.99 Was $48.00
This Pinot is sourced from two different north and south 26 acre sections with westerly exposures, 400 feet in elevation. The site is on the southern flank and east end of the appellation at the base of the Santa Rosa Hills, 22 miles from the coast. Production: 440 cases
2006 Tantara Pisoni Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir $59.99
Passionately and immaculately farmed by the Pisoni family, this Pinot is sourced from a small parcel from the 48 acres of hillside vineyard, 900-1300 feet in elevation. The vineyard is primarily east facing and is the southernmost in the appellation. The elevation keeps the vineyard above the fog line, and it is protected from the brunt of the afternoon sea breeze that blows up the Salinas Valley. Production: 346 cases
2005 Tantara Garys' Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah Sale $39.99 Was $42.00
Planted in 1996 with cuttings from the Pisoni Vineyard and its fabled clone, this beautiful Syrah is sourced from the 8 acres of southeast facing slope which is 400 feet in elevation, and 20 miles from the coast. This wine shows rich fruit and hints of bakers chocolate, this showy wine caresses the palate with soft ripe tannins. Ready to drink now! Production: 122 cases
