Dear Wine Lover,

Come meet one of the hottest up and coming winemakers in Sonoma. Brendan Malm will be pouring and answering question about his exciting new wines this Saturday!

Malm Cellars is a one-man show. Brendan Malm not only makes the wines, but he also works the vineyards, designs the labels, and delivers the wine to his accounts in his diesel pick-up truck. This is pure, seat-of-the-pants Sonoma winemaking, and the results are very impressive.

Malm Cellars Cross Blend Sonoma County 92% Syrah 8% Cabernet Sauvignon $15.99
Our Syrah comes from the hills of the Mayacama Mtns.  Small vineyards where everything is done by hand. It was blended with a thirty-five year old cab vineyard located in the hills above dry creek valley. A wine made to hold up to food and time. A great buy as this wine was aged in French, American and Hungarian  oak barrels. (20% new) A limited production sure to sell out fast. Production: 126 cases
2004 Malm Cellars Dunnsden Vineyard Russian River Sonoma Syrah Sale $19.99 Was $30.00
My 2004 Russian River Syrah comes from a small one acre vineyard on the borders of Chalk Hill and the Russian River Valley. This hillside vineyard is farmed by hand, producing roughly five barrels per year. We have farmed this vineyard for four years and have been happy with its progress. We eliminated some spur sights, shoot thinned, dropped lots of fruit and finally focused on the best fruit this small sight had to offer. Syrah is the one grape that tells you when its time to harvest. The fruit starts to dimple like golf balls. This wine is enjoyable and the alcohol is up there at 14.4% so finding a designated driver might be needed as this bottle goes down very easy. Production: 139 cases
2005 Malm Sonoma County Pinot Noir $24.99
LA Times Wine of the Week The 2005 Sonoma County Pinot is inky and intense, positively bursting with the flavor of blueberries and blackberries in a tightly knit package. You catch some sweet spices in the perfume, which give it a touch of the exotic. Malm has that cool Russian River climate going for him. Ripe, but not overripe, this is a luscious Pinot for anyone who appreciates something with more acidity and grace than the typical fruit bomb. Production: 299 cases
2005 Malm Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir $34.99 limited
The 2005 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir's fruit comes from a vineyard next to Durrell and is also farmed by them as well. After a five day cold soak, this wine was hand punched down for two weeks, then went to French oak barrels. (30% New) and aged for 16 months before bottling. With inky and intense notes, positively bursting with the flavors of blueberries and blackberries in a tightly knit package with sweet spices lingering on the nose that give it a touch of the exotic, Malm has that cool Russian River climate going for him. Ripe, but not overripe, this is a luscious Pinot for anyone who appreciates something with more acidity and grace than the typical fruit bomb. Production: 118 cases
2004 Malm Russian River Valley Sonoma County Chardonnay $17.99
The 2004 Russian River Chardonnay comes from a vineyard on Westside Road not far from Rochioli. 100% free run juice fermented in barrel. (40% New) The lees were stirred every other day during fermentation. With tropical notes and great weight, this Chardonnay is bright and intense and a deal too good to pass up. Production: 336 cases
