2005 Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir $19.99
This stylish wine is a blend of selected lots from two of the Lucas & Lewellen Estate Vineyards which include four distinct clones; some old California and some more recent importations from Burgundy. This Pinot Noir offers ripe blackberry and black cherry aromas with smooth, fruit-driven flavors of plums, strawberries and black cherries. This is a wine best consumed in its youth; over the next 2-3 years.
2002 Lucas & Lewellen Valley View Vineyard Santa Barbara County Cabernet Sauvignon $24.99
A true Bordeaux styled blend, comprised of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petite Verdot, and 2% Malbec. This is a ripe, well-sculpted Cabernet with ample aromas of black currants, a hint of violet and spicy oak lead to smooth cassis-like flavors. This elegant wine will benefit from up to seven or eight years of additional cellaring.
2002 Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara County Syrah $17.99
This Syrah was harvested from both the Los Alamos Vineyards and the Solvang Valley View Vineyard. It shows dark and rich in color with warm earth, spice and leather tones, and black stone fruit on the palate. It will age well, gaining smoothness and complexity for several years.
2002 Lucas & Lewellen Mandolina Santa Barbara County Toccata Super Tuscan $13.99
The Toccata is based on traditional Italian varieties, which including Sangiovese (45%) and Freisa (15%) as well as some Bordeaux varieties for a little twist; Cabernet Sauvignon (15%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Merlot (10%). Each variety is vinified and aged individually for up to 18 months. This 2002 is smooth and spicy with wild strawberry, red raspberry, black currant, black cherry and violet notes defining aroma and flavor.
2003 Lucas & Lewellen Mandolina Santa Barbara County Barbera $11.99
This grape, native to Northern Italy, thrives in the cool climate of the Lucas & Lewellen Los Alamos Vineyards. It is a dark red wine with black cherry and ripe cranberry fruit and a finely balanced acidity and low levels of tannins.
2004 Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara Chardonnay $12.99
The award winning Goodchild Vineyard, located along Foxen Canyon Road near the village of Sisquoc in the Santa Maria Valley, produces consistently outstanding Chardonnay. For this bottling Lucas & Lewellen selected the oldest most mature vines which ripen slowly in the cool climate. It is rich with tropical fruit typical of this cool region with shadings of toasty oak and spice giving this Chardonnay weight, balance, and complexity.
2005 Lucas & Lewellen Mandolina Santa Barbara County Riesling $12.99
This is a dry California-styled Riesling, bigger and more full bodied than German Rieslings. It was cold fermented and aged before a spring bottling to preserve freshness and the honeyed, melon-tinged flavors typical of the vineyard.
2003 Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara County Sauvignon Blanc $14.99
This Sauvignon Blanc exhibits the lovely, ripe pear and golden delicious apple aromas and flavors for which this vineyard is renowned. After fermentation, it was racked to new French oak barrels for three months to gain additional notes of toast, roasted grain, and alluring spiciness.
2001 Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara Sparking Wine $15.99
This Sparkling Wine was made in the traditional French method, using only the finest select-picked Pinot Noir & Chardonnay (50% of each) from the Lucas & Lewellen vineyard in Santa Barbara.
