Dear Wine Lover,

Every year Orin Swift Cellars winemaker David Phinney, famous for “The Prisoner” red blend, uses what he considers his highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of the vintage for his very limited production “Mercury Head”. While the ever increasing demand for this wine is mainly due to its quality, David’s genius packaging runs a close second. Mounted on each bottle is an authentic Mercury Head dime, which makes this wine an elegant and stunning presentation that is quite unlike anything else on the market!

2003 Orin Swift Cellars Mercury Head Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 399 Cases $74.99
The grapes for the 2003 are sourced exclusively from the Taplin Vineyard in St. Helena and the Morisoli Vineyard located in the heart of Rutherford. Both vineyards are low-yielding and impeccably farmed. The 2003 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and Dave believes the intensity of the Taplin fruit and the Morisoli terroir create a wine of extreme concentration, finesse, structure and balance. The wine is aged in 100% French oak for 28 months to enhance the supple, ripe tannins and dark, rich fruit flavors. Finally the wine is in the bottled for at least six months prior to being released to ensure that the true varietal expression and vineyard character are perfectly in tune.

This wine is extremely limited, sorry 3 bottles per customer.
