The Pinot Noir varietal is highly responsive to its surroundings. Perhaps more than any other varietal, it can be greatly influenced by the terroir from which it sprang. This wine is no exception. Balanced and lovely, this Pinot Noir exhibits attractive aromatics of cracked white pepper, cardamom and old-fashioned roses; all reflective of this vineyard. Lighter bodied than the Rancho Ontiveros, this wine does pair well with foods, but we also find that it stands up exceeding well on its own as a sipping wine of merit and delicacy.
