2006 Frank Family Vineyards Napa Valley Zinfandel $33.89
Frank Family Vineyards’ 2006 Napa Valley Zinfandel is dark and rich in color, reminiscent of violets. This classic Zinfandel leads with sweet blackberry jam, white and black pepper and clove spice. Further opulence emerges as layers of black cherry, blueberry and Asian spice are exposed. The palate is big, bold and ripe with juicy brambleberry and warm plum pudding, supported by integrated tannin and spice, giving a full mid palate and setting the stage for the long supple finish.
2005 Frank Family Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon $44.89
The 2005 Frank Family Vineyard’s Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exposes its depth immediately with its dense dark purple color. The aromas are bountiful, brimming with juicy brambleberries and ripe black cherries that are laced with notes of smoke and roasted espresso and followed by hints of tobacco, earth and cedar. The palate is opulent and intense, bursting with ripe blackberries and currants, with just a touch of sage. The rich fruit is balanced with complex tannins providing a plush, yet firm mouthfeel that is round and supple with lasting depth.
2006 Frank Family Vineyards Napa Valley Chardonnay $29.99
Frank Family Vineyard’s 2006 Napa Valley Chardonnay is bright and lively; it opens with aromas of lemon/lime zest, candied Meyer lemon, yellow nectarine, raw ginger, and dried Mirabelle plum. These fresh aromas are countered by sweet vanilla, rich butterscotch, spice cake and sweet cream butter giving rise to a vibrant and harmonious combination. The palate is crisp, mellow and full; bursting with stone fruit, green apple, and Asian pear while being laced throughout with gentle toasted oak aromas of vanilla and spice, and accented by a subtle hint of honeysuckle.
2006 Frank Family Vineyards Carneros Napa Chardonnay $39.99
Frank Family's 2006 Carneros Chardonnay is provocative and distinctive. It leads with aromas of kumquat zest, heirloom apple, white peach and orange-flesh melon. These vibrant aromas are accented by cardamom and cinnamon spice as well as flora; aromas of honeysuckle, marigold and orange blossom. The palate is soft, fresh and lengthy, loaded with citrus, stone fruit, and Bosc pear with the mid-palate gaining creaminess that moves toward lemon curd, pink apple crumb and poached pear custard, while hints of smoky bourbon, vanilla bean and fresh bakes bread intermingle throughout. Barrel fermented in 100% once-filled French oak for 11 months.
