Winemaker Christian Tietje founded Paso Robles-based Four Vines Winery in 1996 as a multi-appellation Zinfandel project. Four Vines concept is to making great wines at terrific prices, using Old Vine Zinfandel from Amador, Napa, Paso Robles, and Sonoma.

2004 Four Vines The Sophisticate Sonoma County Zinfandel $19.89
Wine Spectator 92 Points: Aromas of ripe raspberry, tar, pepper and nutmeg are firm yet well-proportioned, with just the right amount of tannins. Gains complexity on the finish. Drink now through 2010.
2004 Four Vines Maverick Amador County Zinfandel $19.89
Wine Spectator 92 Points: Firm and well-structured, exhibiting ripe raspberry, wild berry and blackberry flavors that are supported by ripe, integrated tannins. Ends with a pepper and cedar note. Drink now through 2011.
2004 Four Vines Biker Paso Robles Zinfandel $18.89
Winemaker's Notes: This wine originates from different vineyards located of the west side of Paso Robles. The Biker is big, bold, and outrageous, with loads of concentra fruit and spice. This wine also leaves a trail of lingering oak across its path. Drink now through 2010.
2004 Four Vines Old Vine Cuvee $11.89
Winemaker's Notes: The Old Vine Cuvee was selected from vineyards in Sonoma and Paso Robles with vines ranging from 16 to 50 years old. The old vine fruit lends increased depth and character to the blend. Aged in small French and American oak barrels, the wine begins with silky layers of berry fruit and spice, and then glides into a lingering oak finish.
