In 2006 we were blessed with a perfect growing season for our cabernet sauvignon grapes. This year we kept the juice separated according to each lot and after fermentations began to let the wine age in new French oak. Barrel tasting revealed a distinct difference in complexity and characteristics of our Lot 3 cab, so much that we've decided to attach the "Reserve" designate to this brooding monster. The initial color out of the bottle is an elegant Margaux-like dark red. Ripe aromas of concentrated candied red fruit make this a rich mouthful with a firm but balanced tannic structure... This is definitely a "cellar selection" that will age beautifully over the next 3-6 years.

We really have something special with our 2006 juice. The Merlot is exquisite. It has a deep ruby/garnet color, soft tannins, sweet fruit plus an intoxicating bouquet. The Cabernet Sauvignon showed a concentration of cherry, violets, toast and cinnamon with a complexity and structure that can handle its bold tannins. The Syrah is a "fruit bomb". A dark, teeth-staining purple ink, heavy on the blackberry with hints of smoke, vanilla and cherry. At the eleventh hour, we stumbled on a Cabernet Franc that stole our hearts. A beautiful plum color, layers of cassis, spice and caramel. They all tasted so good, we decided to create our own proprietary blend. It’s delicious now and will certainly age gracefully for years.
