Since Anglim’s inaugural release they have consistently produced a variety of outstanding Rhone styles, but lucky for us, starting with the 2005 vintage, the winery has added Pinot Noir and Zinfandel to their portfolio. Steve Anglim continues to source fruit from some of the finest vineyards and locations in Paso Robles and Santa Barbara. A representative from Anglim will be pouring and answering questions regarding their new releases on Saturday.

2004 Anglim Paso Robles Grenache $24.99
Grapes from 3 premium Paso Robles vineyards produced a lush Grenache with flavors of ripe plum and blackberry, framed by good structure and tannins. A great BBQ Wine. Production: 225 cases
2005 Anglim Fiddlestix Vineyard Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir $42.99
From the acclaimed Santa Rita Hills area, this wine is Burgundian in style, with aromas and flavors of raspberries and cherries and just enough earthiness on the finish. Aged 15 months in 100% French oak. Production: 138 cases
2004 Anglim Paso Robles Syrah $24.99
Lovely body and color, with flavors of blackberry and espresso bean, and a nice earthy black truffle on the finish. Barrel aged 26 months in 100% French oak of which 20% was new.
2003 Anglim Reserve Best Barrel Blend Paso Robles Syrah $39.89
2% Roussanne was added to this selection of Syrah picked as the best juice produced from the 2003 vintage. The result is a medium to full-bodied wine with flavors of jammy cherry, currant, and fig, with aromas of blackberry jam and black cherries. Production: 349 cases
2005 Anglim St. Peter of Alcantara Vineyard Paso Robles Zinfandel $24.99
Anglim’s inaugural Zinfandel is bright and lively, with flavors of red fruit, raspberry and just a hint of pepper. The fruit was sourced from a small Westside Paso Robles Vineyard, St. Peter of Alcantara, aged in neutral French oak – It’s a sophisticated Zinfandel for Zin lovers and others. Production: 149 cases
2005 Anglim Bien Nacido Vineyard Santa Barbara Viognier $24.99
This is a distinctive Viognier, with intense fruit aromas and a hint of chalkiness. Flavors of sweet peaches and apricots, a hint of citrus zest and a nice mineral finish. Production: 299 cases
2005 Anglim Paso Robles Rousanne $22.99
Ripe juicy aromas with flavors of apple and peach, Spicy cloves including mineral notes on the finish, all balanced with a nice acidity. A very versatile wine. Production: 299 cases
