2006 A.P. Vin Turner Vineyard Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Pinot Report 96 Points: Deep ruby color; black cherry, spice and pepper aromas; ripe, big and rich, deep black cherry flavors with spice and a touch of black pepper; toasty oak; good structure and balance; long finish. A big style that is deftly balanced with a great core of fruit. Needs time in the glass and I suspect it will reward some patience and restraint in the cellar. Production: 125 cases
2006 A.P. Vin Rancho Ontiveros Vineyard Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir
Pinot Report 94 points: Medium-deep ruby color; ripe and intense red cherry aromas with earthy notes; ripe, rich with earthy red cherry flavors and some savory spice notes; bit of wood toward the finish, silky texture; good structure and balance; long finish. A moderately big and balanced style with some great earthy complexity. Production: 75 cases
