2004 David Fulton was given 94 points, the top score out of the 60+ Petite Sirahs rated from the International Wine Review. In fact only one other Petite's shared the same score, the 2006 Turley Wine Cellars Hayne Vineyard Petite Syrah, which is far more expensive.

International Wine Review 94 points: It will be hard to find many Petite Sirah as rich and complex as the 2004 David Fulton Petite Sirah.  Sourced from old vineyards in St. Helena, the superb bottling reveals a deep ruby purple opaque color and offers aromas of ripe blackberry fruit, saddle leather, earth, and toasty oak with a touch of spice.  On the attack it reveals a velvety sweet mouth feel with beautifully integrated ripe black cherry fruit, anise, spice oak and black pepper.  It also offers a highly concentrated fruit rich finish.
